From untrodden paths I tracked the deer.
At a distance, what I so ardently wished for.
Senses sharpened, like the tip of my aimed arrow.
In ambush, I summon nature's blessings for the hunt to begin.
Gracious forest spirits bestow their gifts.
I guide my Mielikki to the lodge for the feast.
