Since starting our craft, we have used high carbon steel materials in making blades for these knives. Handle materials are mainly Finnish wood sourced from the local area but also some other exotic wood species, and other materials are used. Brass, nickel silver, and various new and old synthetic materials are also used with the intention of forging highest quality one-of-a-kind knives.
Our manufacturing principle is to have the knives withstand decades of use, and thanks to our heat treatment process, the blade becomes hard and very tough, but can be still sharpened by hand tools at home. Our goal is also to promote Finnish handcrafting skills and design for the global markets.
